Position Summary:
As Head of Marketing at Akina Pharmacy, you will be a core member of the Leadership Team and the owner of all things marketing. This high-impact role is responsible for building, leading, and executing a data-driven marketing strategy that supports our ambitious growth goals—from $20M in revenue by 2026 to $100M+ in ARR by 2030. You’ll oversee brand, demand generation, content strategy, and product marketing, ensuring every campaign, message, and initiative is tightly aligned with our mission to enrich lives through compounded medications.

We’re looking for a strategic leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is equally comfortable in high-level planning and hands-on execution. You will define how Akina shows up in the market, how we drive awareness and trust with providers, and how we scale a predictable marketing engine that supports every stage of the customer lifecycle. Leadership + Management = Accountability  

  • Provides their team with 5 Leadership practices and 5 Management practices creates the environment where the byproduct is Accountability.
  • Leads using the 5 leadership practices of giving clear direction, providing the necessary resources for success, letting go of the vine via effective delegation and coaching, acting for the greater good, and taking clarity breaks to create space for strategic thinking. 
  • Manages using the 5 management practices of keeping expectations clear (responsibilities, metrics, goals), open communication via frequent check-ins, holding consistent and effective meetings, promptly addressing issues head-on, and recognizing and rewarding positive behaviors.
 

Brand Ownership & Strategic Positioning

  • Own the Akina brand across all channels—evolve and safeguard it to reflect our identity, values, and market differentiation
  • Position Akina as the go-to partner for providers seeking high-quality compounded medications
  • Champion market positioning strategies that support product innovation, new market entry, and audience expansion
 

Growth Marketing & Demand Generation

  • Design and execute full-funnel marketing strategies to drive demand, acquisition, and revenue across segments
  • Lead omnichannel campaigns—email, SEO, content, social, paid, direct mail—with clear goals and ROI tracking
  • Own and report on the Marketing P&L and key marketing scorecard metrics
  • Leverage automation and performance data to scale high-performing tactics and optimize customer journeys
     

Content & Product Marketing Leadership

  • Develop compelling messaging and educational content that equips Sales and empowers Providers
    Lead go-to-market planning for product launches and service updates
  • Translate technical and clinical product details into market-ready positioning and materials
     

Team Development & Operational Excellence

  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing team with clear roles, KPIs, and accountability
  • Establish repeatable workflows and marketing operations infrastructure to scale output
  • Manage marketing budget with efficiency and impact, using data to inform allocation decisions
